You also see the Tomb of Malik Ayaz, a Georgian slave who rose to general under Sultan Mahmud Ghazni, and the Shab Bhar Mosque, a colonial-era building said to have been constructed overnight in 1917 after a local dispute.

From the Wazir Khan Mosque, you ride a traditional rangila rickshaw to Lahore Fort—the Shahi Qila—which spreads over 20 hectares and holds 21 notable monuments. The Sheesh Mahal, built in 1631–32, is the centerpiece: a white marble pavilion inlaid with pietra dura and intricate mirror-work. You also enter the secret basements, the Diwan-i-Aam (where the emperor received common subjects) and the Diwan-i-Khas (the private hall for state matters), and visit the fort's museum. The final stop is the Badshahi Mosque, built by Emperor Aurangzeb between 1671 and 1673. Its carved red sandstone exterior with marble inlay makes it the largest mosque of the Mughal era and the second-largest in all of Pakistan. A small museum inside documents its history. The tour ends with a tonga ride—a horse-drawn carriage—that circles the Walled City so you see all 13 gates from the outside.
