The experience
The tour wraps a real mystery around Delft's actual landmarks. Christina, who runs a local porcelain shop, has lost her girlfriend, and you piece together what happened by solving riddles at each stop. You'll pass a modern city council building where the first puzzle waits, cross a bridge near an old church, walk past a beautiful monumental building, reach the Museum Prinsenhof (which tells the story of William of Orange), stop at a square full of bars and restaurants, and end on a picturesque street in the center. The puzzles are tied to what you're standing in front of, so the city itself becomes part of the game.
You control the timing completely. Download the instructions to your phone, start whenever you want, and move through the route at whatever speed works for your group. The whole thing takes around two hours and covers about 2.5 kilometers on foot. No guide talks at you. No group waits for stragglers. If someone in your team gets stuck on a riddle, hints are built into the app so you can keep moving without paying extra.
The route is wheelchair accessible throughout, and all surfaces are flat. Public transport stops are nearby if you need them. Families with infants can bring a pram or stroller, and service animals are welcome.
