The walk takes you past the Nieuwe Kerk, a Gothic church with a brick spire over 100 meters tall where Dutch royalty is buried. You'll cross the Beestenmarkt, a square that was the livestock market for farmers from the Westland region until 1972, and stand in front of the city hall on the Markt — the current building rose after the 1618 fire destroyed the medieval one. The Oostpoort, Delft's only remaining city gate, is the kind of place that stops you mid-walk because it looks like every postcard you've ever seen.
