The Experience

The first thing that happened was we almost got into the wrong car outside our hotel — turns out there are a lot of black vans in Amsterdam. There was this old man selling bulbs who tried to teach me how to pronounce “bloemenmarkt.” Li laughed when I tried to say it in Dutch — probably butchered it.
