The experience

The club sits 50 meters from the beach, close enough that you walk straight to the water. Semi-private means two people per session, so you get personal attention without the cost of a solo lesson. Each learner has their own wingfoil equipment and sail, and the instructor shapes the lesson around where you are: if you've never tried it, you start with the fundamentals. If you've had a few goes, you work on control and technique. The Atlantic Ride team runs the operation, and they speak English, French and Arabic.

Two hours on the water covers ground fast when you have an expert watching your form. The suit, helmet and all the gear you need are part of the course. You show up in a swimsuit and walk out equipped. Safety rules stay in place throughout, and you need to be a confident swimmer to participate. The beaches of Essaouira have the wind and the space wingfoiling demands, and the instructors know how to use both.
