The experience

The route leaves Agadir and heads south toward Tafraoute, stopping first at the Granary of Imcheguiguilen for hot mint tea. From there you continue to the Granary of Tizergane before reaching Tafraoute itself, where you'll spend time in the city center and its surrounding areas. The painted rocks near Tafraoute are part of what you see here, and the driver will point out local Berber women's traditional fashion as you move through the region. Lunch is provided in Tafraoute.

After Tafraoute, the tour continues to Tiznit, known as the silver city. This walled old town has a different character from Tafraoute: quieter, full of narrow streets good for photographs. You'll walk through the medina checking the shops and streets, where jewelry and traditional souvenirs are sold. Tiznit's architecture reflects Berber traditions, and the shops here are the main draw for many visitors. Once you've had time to explore, the driver takes you back to Agadir and your original pickup point.

A private vehicle with air conditioning carries your group throughout, and the driver speaks English, French and German. The ten to twelve hour span means an early start and a late return, so this is a full day commitment.
