The experience

The first thing I noticed was the smell: wild thyme and something sweet drifting in through the window as we wound up the Honey Road. Our driver, Youssef, pointed out a cluster of beehives tucked into the red hills. It was quieter than I expected, just the hum of bees and our tires crunching on gravel.
