The experience

You ride your own 125cc quad through the landscape around Essaouira, starting with a passage through the great dunes of Cape Sim. The route also takes in the nearby beaches, where the terrain shifts and the views open up. A professional guide leads the way and stays with the group throughout. The three-hour ride includes refreshing breaks where you get fresh mineral water and chocolate bars.

Safety gear is provided: helmet, wind jacket, neck scarf, gloves and inner gloves. You'll need to wear long trousers, closed shoes and sunglasses for your own comfort and protection. The guide takes photographs during the tour and hands them over to you at the end, no extra charge. Groups stay under six participants. If you have more, contact the operator directly to arrange it.

The 125cc Yamaha Grizzly is lighter and gives good vehicle control, which is why the operator recommends it to all riders. If you're taller than 180cm (5'9") or weigh more than 110kg (242 lb), let the operator know at booking so they can arrange a quad that fits your size. This comes with an additional charge. You'll need to provide your passport details (name, number, expiry and country) when you book.
