The experience
You arrive at a home in Ouarzazate and are welcomed with freshly brewed Moroccan mint tea and homemade sweets. Your host walks you through the fresh ingredients and the dish you've chosen, sharing the stories behind the spices and what each one means in Moroccan cooking. Then you move into the kitchen and cook hands-on, guided through every step: selecting spices, learning traditional techniques, and building the dish from start to finish until it's ready to eat.
The class lasts three hours and covers one main dish from the menu: Moroccan tajine cooked in a clay pot, couscous, bastilla (either fish or chicken), or chicken rfissa. Vegetarian versions of any dish are available, and the host can adjust for gluten-free, vegan or other dietary needs when you book. All the ingredients and kitchen equipment are provided, so you bring nothing but yourself.
When the cooking is done, you sit together to eat the meal you've prepared: a true farm-to-table moment the way locals experience it. Dessert or seasonal fruit follows, with more tea if you want it. The experience ends there, and you leave with the knowledge of how to make the dish at home.

Is this one for you?Book this class if you want to learn Moroccan cooking inside a real home rather than in a commercial kitchen, and if sitting down to eat what you've made (the way a local family would) matters as much as the cooking itself. The 3-hour format fits a morning or afternoon in Ouarzazate without dominating your whole day.
