The experience

The road out of Marrakech climbs toward the Tizi n'Tichka Pass at 2,260 meters, and the city falls away behind you. The Atlas Mountains open up in front: lush valleys, Berber villages scattered across the slopes, peaks that shift color as the light moves. You stop to breathe the thinner air and take a photo that won't quite capture how the landscape actually looks.
