The Experience

You start from a central Marrakech meeting point and drive out to the Agafay Desert in an air-conditioned vehicle. Once there, you mount a quad bike and ride for an hour across the golden slopes yourself — no guide steering, just you controlling the throttle and the line through the dunes. The timing puts you in the desert as the sun drops, so the sky shifts through orange and pink while you're still moving. After the quad section, you dismount and climb onto a camel for the final stretch to the camp, watching the light fade over the landscape.

At the camp, you gather around a bonfire to warm up, then sit down to a dinner of Moroccan tajine, couscous and other dishes — some traditional, some international — while Berber musicians and dancers perform. Water is provided throughout.
