You leave Marrakech in an air-conditioned vehicle and head to Agafay Desert, where the dunes begin. Two riders share each quad bike, so if you're going solo you'll have a co-rider; if you want to operate one alone, that's available as an add-on. You spend 40 minutes navigating the sandy terrain yourself—throttle, steering, the weight of the machine responding to what you do. The guide leads the way and sets the pace, so it's not a free-for-all; you follow a route through the landscape rather than picking your own line.

After the quad section, you switch to camel. You ride solo this time, 20 minutes across the dunes as the light drops. The camel moves at its own rhythm, slower and more deliberate than the quad, and you're high enough to see across the desert as the sun goes down. This is the moment the itinerary builds toward—the contrast between the speed and control of the bike and the ancient, unhurried pace of the animal.

Back at the camp, you sit around a campfire while a live Berber music ensemble plays. The dinner is Moroccan—soup, couscous, tagine, dessert—served in a candlelit hut.
