The Experience
Pickup comes to your hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle, and the drive through the Rif Mountains to Chefchaouen takes you past the kind of landscape most visitors only see from a distance. A stop at Restaurant Sed Nakhla breaks the journey with mint tea and views before you arrive in the blue city itself.
Once in Chefchaouen, your guide leads you through the medina's labyrinthine streets—the blue-painted buildings, the tight corners, the way light falls differently on each wall. You'll see the Kasbah with its fortress tower and ethnographic museum, walk through Place Outa el Hammam where the market and locals gather, and view the Grand Mosque's distinctive octagonal minaret.
