Agadir Camel Ride with Couscous & Barbecue: includes hotel pickup and drop-off
Ride camels along the flamingo river and end the afternoon with mint tea and Moroccan cakes
A camel ride in the countryside outside Agadir, Morocco, where you leave the city behind and travel through eucalyptus forest to a scenic village, with chances to spot migratory birds including flamingos. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included, along with a guide who speaks English, Spanish, French, German and one additional language. The tour runs three hours and ends with mint tea, Moroccan cakes, and barbecue or couscous if you select that option at checkout.
The Experience
You get picked up from your hotel and driven out past the city bustle to the countryside where the camel ride begins. The route takes you through eucalyptus forest and past a scenic village, moving at the pace a camel sets rather than a car's. Migratory birds, including flamingos, sometimes appear along the way — the flamingo river is part of what makes this stretch distinctive. A guide travels with you and speaks your language; you can book a morning, afternoon or sunset departure depending on when you want to ride.
The three-hour outing ends with a break for mint tea and Moroccan cakes. If you chose the barbecue option at checkout, that meal replaces the cakes — couscous and grilled meat are part of it. Bottled water is provided throughout, and the operator includes souvenir photos so you have something to take back. The same shuttle that picked you up brings you back to your hotel when it's done.
Children from age one can ride, and the tour is wheelchair accessible — specialized infant seats are available if you're traveling with a baby. Service animals are welcome. The air-conditioned vehicle means the transfer to and from the countryside stays comfortable even in heat.

Can I ride a camel on my own, or do I have to share one?
The Agadir camel ride offers both options at checkout. You can book one camel for two people to share, or reserve a camel for each person in your group — the price changes with the option you pick.
What's included in the barbecue option versus the one without it?
Both options include the camel ride, mint tea and Moroccan cakes, hotel pickup, water and souvenir photos. If you select the barbecue option, couscous and grilled meat replace the cakes as your meal at the end.
Is the hotel pickup really free, or does it cost extra?
Hotel pickup and drop-off are included in the price — no extra charge. The shuttle collects you from your hotel and returns you there when the three-hour tour ends.
Do I need any experience to ride a camel, or is this for first-timers?
The tour suits all physical fitness levels and welcomes first-time camel riders. Children from age one can participate, and the guide will help you get settled on the camel before the ride begins.
