Agadir Camel Ride with Barbecue Dinner: includes air-conditioned transport
Ride a camel across the dunes, then eat barbecue under the open air
A three-hour camel ride and barbecue tour in Agadir takes you through the Flamingo river valley and small dunes on a traditional Berber dromedary, followed by a grilled dinner with tea. The guide speaks English, Italian, French or German; pickup and drop-off from your hotel are included. You choose between a traditional meat barbecue or a vegetarian meal.
The Experience
The camel ride starts after pickup from your hotel. You'll travel through Agadir's landscape on a dromedary—the traditional transport of the region—passing the Flamingo river, small dunes and eucalyptus trees. The guides are trained to work with the camels and to help you get comfortable on the animal; they'll also photograph the ride so you leave with images of the day. The pace is steady and the route is designed for riders of all fitness levels, though the operator notes the experience is not suitable for people with spinal injuries.
After the ride, the group moves to the barbecue site. You'll have tea and a meal prepared on-site: either a traditional Moroccan barbecue with grilled meat, or a vegetarian option if you've chosen that at booking. Moroccan salad comes with both. The meal is served in the open air, and the whole experience—ride, meal and return transport—takes about three hours from pickup to drop-off.
Two tour options are available at checkout: the Taghazout Camel & Horse Ride, which adds a horse component to the itinerary, or the Agadir Sunset Camel Ride with Barbecue, which times the outing for evening light. Both include the same camel ride, barbecue meal and hotel transfers. Children from age three can ride; infants and very small children can travel in a pram or stroller, and specialized infant seats are available if needed.
