Ziplining in Tulum: ATV, Cenote & Jungle Circuit
You drive the ATV yourself, not just ride along.
This activity in Tulum combines three separate circuits: a 45-minute ATV ride through jungle terrain that you operate yourself, a 45-minute zipline descent down seven lines, and a 20-minute swim in a cenote connected to an underground river. A live guide leads the full day, which runs 6 hours total with round transportation from your hotel, a regional buffet meal and flavored water included.

Step-by-step itinerary
ATV, zipline, and cenote adventure
- Travel to activity location
- Ride ATV through jungle
- Zipline over the jungle
- Swim in sacred cenote
- Return from activity location
The experience
The day starts with a drive to the activity site, then you take the wheel of a single ATV through the jungle for 45 minutes. This is not a guided tour where you sit and watch. You're driving, navigating the terrain yourself. After that circuit, the guide takes the group to the zipline platform, where you'll clip in and descend down seven separate lines over 45 minutes, each one offering a different angle through the canopy and over the landscape below.
The final stop is a cenote fed by an underground river. You swim here for about 20 minutes in water that stays cool year-round. The cenote is a natural sinkhole, a geological feature unique to this region, and the swim wraps up the physical part of the day. Afterward, you'll sit down to a regional buffet meal that covers all dietary needs, then head back to your hotel. The whole outing (driving, zipping, swimming and eating) fits into 6 hours, with about an hour of that spent on transportation to and from the site.
A live guide in English or Spanish leads the entire day and stays with your group through all three activities. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included, so you don't arrange your own transport. Bring a towel, bathing suit, extra clothes and biodegradable sunscreen. Basic swimming ability is required for the cenote portion.
