Xplor Adventure Park Rafting, Ziplining & ATV from Cancun
Three ways to move through the jungle in a single afternoon
Xplor Adventure Park is an all-in-one activity near Cancun where you zipline through rainforest and caves, drive an amphibious vehicle over off-road terrain, and paddle a raft through underground chambers filled with stalactites and stalagmites. The day includes round-trip hotel transport, all equipment, an all-you-can-eat buffet lunch, and runs about six hours from hotel to hotel.
Step-by-step itinerary
Adventure activities and lunch at Xplor Park
- Travel 45 minutes from Cancun hotel
- Zipline above rainforest and caves
- Drive amphibious vehicle through jungle
- Paddle raft through underground caves
- Enjoy buffet lunch and relax
- Return to Cancun hotel by minivan
The Experience
The minivan picks you up from your Cancun hotel and takes 45 minutes to reach Xplor. Once there, you move through the activities at your own pace — no fixed schedule, no herding between stops. The park sits less than an hour from central Cancun, so the commute is short enough that most of the day stays in the park itself.
The ziplines are the headline: you'll soar up to 150 feet above the rainforest canopy on courses that cut through the jungle and into underground caves, where some lines end with a splash into a cenote. The amphibious vehicle takes you on a 3-mile circuit over rocky riverbeds, off-road trails and suspended bridges — you're driving it yourself, not watching from a seat. Then comes the raft: you paddle through caverns lined with stalactites and stalagmites, gliding through water deep enough to swim in. All the gear — helmet, harness, kayak and paddles — comes with the price, as does a locker to stash your dry clothes while you're wet.
After the morning activities, you freshen up in the park's facilities and sit down to an all-you-can-eat buffet with local and international dishes. The afternoon is yours to relax in a hammock or do any activities again. The minivan brings you back to your hotel in the late afternoon, and you'll have your admission bracelet before you even leave Cancun — no lines at the gate.

What's the difference between the ATV ride for one versus the ATV ride for two?
The amphibious vehicle ride is included in both options; the difference is whether you drive solo or with a passenger. Choose the one-person option if you want to navigate the 3-mile circuit alone, or pick the two-person option if you're sharing the vehicle with someone else.
Can children do all the activities at Xplor?
Children as young as five can enter the park, but some activities have height and weight restrictions. Ziplining requires a minimum height of 4.5 feet (137 cm) and weight of at least 88 lbs (40 kg); the amphibious vehicle requires the driver to be 18 with a valid license, though younger passengers can ride along; rafting and swimming in the underground caves are open to children who meet the height requirement. Children under 1 meter tall have restricted activities and must stay with an adult in rest areas.
How long does the whole day take, and what time does pickup happen?
The full experience runs about six hours from when you leave your hotel until you return. Pickup time depends on which hotel you're staying at — the minivan serves different properties across Cancun, Playa del Carmen and the Riviera Maya on different schedules, so you'll confirm your exact pickup time after booking.
What should I bring and wear?
Wear clothes and shoes that can get wet — you'll be in water during the rafting and cenote activities. Bring a swimsuit, towel, change of dry clothes to keep in the lockers, biodegradable sunblock, and lightweight walking shoes or sneakers. Insect repellent should be chemical-free.
Is there anything I can't do on this day?
The activities aren't recommended for travelers with spinal injuries, recent surgeries, poor cardiovascular health, or pregnancy. You'll also need at least a moderate level of physical fitness to handle the ziplining, vehicle driving and paddling. If you have health concerns, check with the operator before booking.
