The experience
The boat leaves the dock as the light starts to turn gold. You're on the upper deck of the largest catamaran in Los Cabos, with a full view of the water ahead. The all-you-can-eat menu runs to beef and chicken fajitas, rice and beans, caprese salad, citrus salad, guacamole with chips and salsa. The kind of spread that keeps coming. The open bar stocks Mexican beers, tequila, rum, vodka and mix drinks, plus soda and bottled water. A live band plays all genres of music the whole time, and the deck is built for dancing.
The route takes you along the coast on the Sea of Cortez, past Lover's Beach (a secluded stretch of sand wedged between dramatic rock formations at Land's End), the Sea Lion Colony, and the pirate's cave. The boat rounds Land's End itself, the southernmost tip of the peninsula, then slips into the Pacific Ocean where the Baja sunset happens. Most water tours in Cabo rush you to the sights for a quick look. This one lets you sit down, eat a real dinner and stay long enough to watch the light change.
The catamaran is wheelchair accessible, and infants can ride in a pram or stroller. Service animals are welcome. A guide speaks English and Spanish throughout the cruise. Children from age 1 are welcome aboard.
