The experience
You're picked up from your hotel and driven to Wild Canyon, where the day splits between two things: camel riding into the canyon and the water park. The camels here are trained specifically for kids, so families can ride together through the El Tule oasis at the canyon bottom. After the ride, you'll meet other animals (macaws, lovebirds, turtles), in the sanctuary before heading to Lion's Den restaurant for a snack and drink.
The water park sits on the same property and includes slides, a pool, lounge chairs, and a fountain. You can move between the camel area and the water section as you want, so if someone needs a break or wants to stay dry, there's room for that. The longest wooden vehicle and pedestrian bridge in the country crosses the canyon if you want to walk it and take photos. Hydration stations are free throughout, and you'll get chips and salsa, cheese quesadillas, and your choice of a smoothie, tequila shot, daiquiri or margarita.
Wear closed shoes and bring a bathing suit, towel, sunglasses, hat and sunscreen. Cameras and personal items go in free lockers on site. The four-hour window gives you time for both the camel ride and the water slides without rushing, though the park also has a climbing wall, Eurobungy jump, and bike trails if you want to add more.
