The Experience

You get picked up from your hotel in Cabo San Lucas and driven to Costa Azul Beach, where the operation is based. After check-in and a locker assignment, a bilingual guide walks you through the safety protocols and fits you into the harness and helmet. Then the climbing starts—you hike up into the mountains on foot, moving through desert scrub and cactus, with a chance to spot regional wildlife if you're lucky. The guides watch for different fitness levels and capabilities, so the pace adjusts as the group moves.

Each of the seven ziplines takes you down a different section of the canyon. Between lines you walk, clip in, and launch. There's also a suspension bridge to cross and a rappel descent where you control your own speed down the rock face. The views open up as you drop—mountains, desert floor, the cactus species that grow only here. By the end of the descent, you're back at the base.

After the adventure, you clean up with wet towels and have time to look through your photos and grab a cold drink while you wait for the return transport. The whole outing, from pickup to drop-off, takes three hours. At the end, the operator includes a Damiana Liqueur tasting at the factory before you head back to your hotel.
