The experience
The day starts with two hours in open sea where you swim and snorkel around dolphins: the operator reports an 80% sighting rate, and if dolphins don't appear, you get a second free outing just for dolphin viewing. After that, the route moves inland through the south west: Black River gorge viewpoint, Alexandra Waterfall, Chamarel Waterfall, the 7 coloured earth (a geological formation of rust, purple, red and other mineral-stained slopes), and Grand Bassin sacred lake. You'll also visit Trou aux Cerf, a volcano crater in Curepipe, and stop at a rum factory for tasting.
Snorkeling equipment is provided. Lunch and beverages come during the meal. Rum tasting is included. Hotel pickup and drop-off are part of the booking, and the guide conducts the day in English, Italian or French. The full outing takes eight hours. A minimum of two people per booking is required, and children must be accompanied by an adult.
