Step-by-step itinerary
Private sunset catamaran cruise
- Sail along lagoon to Ile aux Aigrettes beach
- Watch the sunset on the beach
- Sail past one of the island's beautiful beaches
The experience
The route depends on conditions on the day you sail. If tide and wind allow, you'll cruise past the actual wreck of the Dalbair, which sank in 1902, or toward Ile de la Passe and the historical waters where the naval battle of Grand Port took place in 1810. Either way, the catamaran sets anchor in front of Île aux Aigrettes, a protected nature reserve, so you can watch the sky turn gold and crimson as the sun drops behind the mountain ridge. The crew stays with you throughout.
Snorkeling equipment is on board if you want to use it. Food and drinks are not included in the booking, but you can bring your own or arrange catering through the operator for an additional fee. The tour runs two hours and works for all fitness levels. Your guide speaks English or French and will be with the group the whole time.
What’s included
