The experience

You travel with a private guide and driver in an air-conditioned car, stopping at the main attractions across the northern part of the island. The day moves through Port Louis itself (a drive through the capital to see how it works), then out to Grand Baie, the busiest village on the north coast, and along the white-sand beaches and blue water of the northern shoreline. The Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Botanical Garden is the centerpiece: a large reserve of plants and animals that most visitors to Mauritius make a point to see. Entry is already paid.
