The experience

The White River winds out of the hilly interior near Ocho Rios on Jamaica's North Coast, and the rapids do the work of moving you downstream. You'll float on an inner tube through the water, riding the current as it carries you past the rainforest. The guide stays with your group throughout, and transportation from Montego Bay is arranged. You don't need to find your own way to the river.

Midway down the run, you stop and climb to a cliff overlooking the river. From there, you dive into the pool below. It's the break in the float that makes the ride memorable, and it's built into the itinerary. After the dive, you get back on the tube and continue downstream until the White River opens into the ocean.
