You’ll swim in Jamaica’s famous Blue Hole, hike to hidden Secret Falls, and float down the White River—all with a friendly local guide and private transport. Perfect mix of adventure and chill time in real Jamaican nature.
The drive up into the hills felt like peeling away layers of noise—suddenly, it’s just you, the trees, and a bit of reggae drifting from a roadside jerk stand. When we pulled up to the Cool Blue Hole, our local guide Devon was already waving us over. He knew every twist in the trail and even pointed out a tiny mango stall where he grabs snacks on his days off. The air smelled fresh—almost sweet—and you could hear the water before you saw it. That first glimpse of the blue pool is something I won’t forget; it’s brighter than any photo online.
We spent about two hours here, jumping off rocks (the highest one looked scarier from above), swinging out on ropes, and ducking under cool caves. There’s a short hike—maybe five minutes—through thick green brush to Secret Falls. The path can get muddy if it rained that morning (my sneakers still have a stain). At Secret Falls, the water crashes down hard enough to give your shoulders a massage if you sit just right. There were a couple of photographers offering to snap action shots for a fee, but honestly, I was too busy laughing with my friends to care about posing.
After drying off in the sun for a bit (bring an extra towel—the breeze up there gets chilly), we headed down to the White River for tubing. The guides gave us quick instructions—nothing fancy—and then we were floating through patches of shade and sunlight. The river moves slow most of the way but picks up at some rapids that’ll splash you good if you’re not paying attention. Kids as young as eight were there too, all grinning ear to ear. If you listen close, you’ll catch birds calling from somewhere deep in the trees. It’s peaceful but never boring.
Yes! Kids 8 and older can join the river tubing part. Guides are great with families and keep things safe.
Bring water shoes or sneakers that can get wet (the trail can be slippery), plus towels and maybe a change of clothes for after tubing.
No official photos included, but independent photographers are available at Blue Hole for an extra cost—or bring your own camera at your own risk!
You’ll spend about two hours at Blue Hole and Secret Falls combined, then head straight to river tubing which takes around 45 minutes on the water.
Your private tour covers round-trip transportation in an air-conditioned vehicle, entry fees for both Blue Hole/Secret Falls and White River tubing, plus all safety gear needed for tubing. Friendly local guides are with you every step—just show up ready for fun!
