The experience
The day starts with a boat ride from Seven Mile Beach out to Pinic Island, where you board a glass-bottom boat to watch marine life without getting wet, then switch to snorkeling gear and enter the water to see the reef and fish up close. The boat carries you back toward Margaritaville, where you spend about an hour and a half on the sand with tropical cocktails and the Caribbean breeze: time to dry off and reset before the final leg.
Rick's Cafe sits on a cliff overlooking the water and marks the end of the day. You can jump off the rocks into the sea if you want the adrenaline rush, or stay on the terrace with a drink and watch the sun drop. Private transportation picks you up and drops you off, and snorkeling equipment is provided. The vehicle is air-conditioned for the drive between stops.
The tour runs 5 to 6 hours total and operates with a live guide who speaks English, Spanish, Italian, French and one additional language. Children from age 1 are welcome. Three route options are available at checkout: Negril snorkeling plus Rick's Cafe, a catamaran version in Negril plus Rick's Cafe, or snorkeling based in Montego Bay instead.
