The experience

The day starts with a scenic drive to Cool Blue Hole, where a guide meets you for the next two hours. The site sits in the mountains on the border of Saint Ann and Saint Mary Parishes, away from the main towns. The water is bright blue and mineral-fed, ringed by rainforest. You jump off the edge into the deep pool, swing on Tarzan ropes, or swim into caves beneath the surface. After that comes a 5-minute hike through the woods to Secret Falls, where the cascading water runs over you while you stand in the pool.

River tubing follows on the White River. The current carries you through the rainforest at a relaxed pace. You sit back and take in the scenery, then shoot a few class II rapids as the river picks up speed. This part suits ages 8 and up, with a maximum weight of 260 pounds. The tubing is the cooldown after the more active blue hole section, though the rapids keep it from being purely passive.
