The Experience

How do you fit three separate activities into one day without it feeling rushed? The answer is a fixed schedule that stacks them back-to-back, with transport and timing already arranged. You get picked up from your hotel in an air-conditioned van and ride 2 hours through Jamaican countryside to Ocho Rios, where the three activities unfold in sequence: ATV first, then the bamboo raft, then the horseback ride and swim. Each one is self-contained, so you're not waiting between them or wondering what comes next.

The ATV section takes you on your own machine through lush rainforest toward Snow Hill Mountain, with a guide leading the way. Before you ride, the guide walks you through a safety briefing so you know how to operate the ATV and what to expect on the terrain. Partway through, the trail opens to a secluded river where you can stop and cool off; the guide photographs you there so you have the moment captured. The bamboo raft comes next—a handcrafted 30-foot raft on the White River, where a captain poles you along gentle water while pointing out the landscape and the island's history. The unusual part: a limestone foot massage happens right on the raft, in the middle of the river. The horseback ride is the final activity, starting from a private beach and moving through farmland before the horses wade into the Caribbean for a swim—you stay mounted and ride into the sea with them.

After all three, you stop at Scotchies for jerk cuisine—chicken, curried goat, seafood, vegetarian plates—before the drive back to Montego Bay. The whole day runs 5 to 6 hours from start to finish. Bottled water is included throughout. If you're staying outside Montego Bay, a surcharge applies to the transport cost.
