A half-day combo activity in Ocho Rios that combines horseback riding, ATV biking and bamboo rafting, with hotel pickup and a live English-speaking guide. You ride horses on a nature trail that ends in the ocean, drive ATVs through the jungle on dirt roads, then float downriver on bamboo with your guide managing the raft while you take in the river.

The experience

Hotel pickup in an air-conditioned vehicle starts the morning, and the three activities run back-to-back. Horseback riding comes first: you ride on a nature trail through the countryside, ending where the trail meets the ocean so you can ride the horse into the water. After that, you drive ATV bikes on dirt roads through the jungle, learning about the local history and ecology from your guide as you go. The final leg is bamboo rafting downriver. You sit on the raft while your guide poles it through the forest, and the only sound is the river and the trees.

The whole outing takes about six hours from pickup to drop-off. Bottled water is provided throughout, and the guide stays with you on each activity. Children from age five can join. The combo format means you get three different ways to move through the landscape in a single morning, rather than booking each one separately.
