The experience
You're picked up from your Kingston hotel or central location in an air-conditioned vehicle with Wi-Fi, bottled water, fresh fruit and light snacks on board. The drive to Portland takes you through St. Thomas, and the day is built around water: swimming, eating by the sea, and watching the Caribbean from a working marina. A live English-speaking guide leads the stops and handles the route, so you move between sites without navigating yourself.
Reach Falls is the centerpiece: one of Jamaica's most photographed waterfalls, where white water tumbles over limestone tiers into jade-colored pools ringed by rainforest. You wade and swim your way up to the base of the cascade. The water is cold and clear. Boston Beach comes next, the actual birthplace of Jamaican jerk cooking. The beach is spacious, less crowded than resort strips, and lined with jerk stalls where reggae plays and the sand is golden. You eat lunch here (or at Geejam Hotel if you prefer a sit-down restaurant setting with ocean views and a pool table), then swim in the Caribbean if you want to. Errol Flynn Marina, the only Caribbean marina equipped for the world's largest yachts, is your final stop. You get a complimentary scoop of Devon's House ice cream and time to photograph the boats and the water before the drive back to Kingston.
The full day runs 8 to 10 hours door-to-door, with the remaining time split between driving and the stops themselves. Admission to Reach Falls and Boston Beach are paid directly at each location and are not included in the tour price. Lunch is also separate. You choose between the Boston Jerk Centre or Geejam and pay USD $15–$40 depending on what you order.

Top questions
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What is Reach Falls actually like when you get there?
Reach Falls is a series of white cascades dropping over limestone shelves into pools of clear, cold water surrounded by virgin rainforest. You wade and swim up through the pools toward the base of the falls. The water gets deeper as you go higher, and the setting is enclosed by lush green hills. It's one of Jamaica's most photographed natural sites, and the pools are deep enough for swimming.
Is Boston Beach crowded, or is it a real local spot?
Boston Beach is a local favorite and far less crowded than resort beaches. It's spacious, framed by lush hills, and known as the birthplace of authentic Jamaican jerk. The beach has shaded seating, jerk stalls playing reggae, and a laid-back vibe. You can eat, swim, and relax without the resort-beach crowds.
Do I pick my lunch spot, or is it decided for me?
You choose between Boston Jerk Centre, right on the beach, or Geejam Hotel, a hilltop restaurant with ocean views and a recording studio. Either way, you purchase lunch on the day for USD $15–$40 depending on what you order. It's not included in the tour price.
What's included in the tour price and what do I pay separately?
Included are pickup from central Kingston, the air-conditioned vehicle, Wi-Fi, bottled water, fresh fruit or snacks, and one ice-cream cone at Errol Flynn Marina. You pay separately for admission to Reach Falls and Boston Beach (paid at each location) and for lunch at your chosen restaurant (USD $15–$40).
How long is the full day, and how much of it is driving versus stops?
The tour runs 8 to 10 hours total from pickup to return. The remaining time after the four stops is divided between driving from Kingston to Portland via St. Thomas and the return journey. The operator allocates the schedule so all four stops fit inside one day.
