The experience
The day starts with a drive through Jamaica's countryside along the north-south highway, passing Spanish Town's Emancipation Square (the first capital established by the Spanish in 1534) before climbing into the Blue Mountains. At Craighton Estate, a certified guide walks you through the working coffee farm and the historic great house, explaining Jamaica's coffee history and the methods that made Blue Mountain coffee world-renowned. The 90-minute tour ends with a tasting of the estate's own coffee, fresh at the source.
After the estate, you take a short hike through the plantation to a hilltop gazebo with panoramic views of the mountains and Kingston below: the spot most visitors photograph. Strawberry Hill, a nearby optional stop, offers more views of Kingston's harbor and a chance to rest before lunch. The tour then includes a stop at Devon House, built in 1881 by Jamaica's first Black millionaire and now famous for its gourmet patties and ice cream. You can eat there or choose lunch at one of the other restaurants on the itinerary instead.
The final leg is a guided drive through Kingston's neighborhoods (affluent and mixed residential areas), where your guide points out how the city's people live and work. You return to your hotel or villa with the full arc of the day behind you: mountain coffee, hiking, colonial history, and urban Kingston all in one outing.

The tour includes a short hike through the plantation to a hilltop gazebo with views.
Is lunch included, or do I pay separately at Devon House?
Lunch is not included in the tour price. You stop at Devon House, famous for its gourmet patties and ice cream, but you choose and pay for what you eat there. Strawberry Hill and Crystal Edge/Cafe Blue are alternative lunch stops on the same itinerary.
How long is the whole tour, and what time does it end?

Wear sneakers or hiking shoes. The hike is short but goes uphill through the plantation to the gazebo. Bring sunscreen and a hat. The tour includes bottled water and snacks, but the mountain sun is strong at elevation.
Does the tour include a visit to Kingston itself?
