The experience

Ocho Rios horseback riding starts with pickup from your hotel, villa, Airbnb or cruise port, then transport to St. Ann's Bay where the ride begins. You'll get matched with a horse based on your comfort and experience level, receive safety gear and a short riding orientation from your guide, then head out along scenic tropical trails. The ride descends to the beach, where your horse wades into the Caribbean Sea for the swim portion: guides help with photos during this part. After returning from the beach, you travel to Blue Hole Adventure Falls in the hills near Ocho Rios.

At Blue Hole, a local guide leads you through the waterfalls and natural pools. You can swim in the clear turquoise water, try the rope swing, or simply explore the tropical surroundings at your own pace. The air-conditioned vehicle returns you to your pickup location once both attractions are done. Bring water shoes, a swimsuit, sunscreen, towel and a camera. The guides can capture photos during the ride if you want them. Cash for tips is useful to have on hand.
