The experience

The day starts with pickup at your Montego Bay accommodation and a ride to Sandy Bay, where your guide matches you with a trained horse. You'll ride along the beach and bareback into the warm Caribbean, no riding experience needed, then dismount and hike a rugged trail up to Reading Heights for views across the western coast. The weight limit for horseback riding is 230 pounds.

Next comes the ATV portion. You drive your own machine (one person per vehicle, a valid driver's license is required) through the forest to the Jungle Outpost, where you eat traditional Jamaican lunch of jerk chicken, rice and peas. The ATV weight limit is 300 pounds. From there, you move into the ziplining section: helmet and safety harness provided, you clip in and zoom through the forest canopy, finishing on the Inter-Parish Express, a 1,065-foot traverse cable that carries you across the treetops. The zipline weight limit is 265 pounds. The whole outing runs about six to seven hours, ending with drop-off back at your accommodation in an air-conditioned vehicle.

This is a three-activity combo, so you commit to all three. There's no refund if you skip any of them. The tour operates with a live guide and welcomes children from age 6. If any of the three activities don't suit your group, other combinations are available at checkout. You can swap the ATV or horseback riding for a catamaran, rafting, or different pairings of the same activities.
