The experience

You start the day in an air-conditioned van with onboard WiFi, water and light snacks, driven by guides who know the island's history and culture. The route takes you first to Blue Hole, a natural waterfall complex in the lush hills southeast of Ocho Rios where lifeguards staff the site. Here you swing on ropes from the cascades, plunge into the mineral-spring pools, and jump or dive from the cliffs: all with assistance keeping the adventure safe. Life vests are available. Water shoes are required.

From Blue Hole you head to White River, where the day shifts to floating. You drift downriver on inner tubes and bamboo rafts, moving at the water's pace rather than your own effort. The river separates two parishes and carries you through terrain most visitors miss. Lunch wraps the day before you return to your resort or ship.
