The experience

Our guide Marco met us at the office and spent the first few minutes making sure the Segway felt stable under our feet. He didn't rush it, just let us get the balance right before we rolled out onto the street. That's when the tour actually started, not with a speech but with him pointing out how we'd cover the Colosseum, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps without the usual ache that comes from navigating Rome on foot.
