The experience

Bosco de' Medici Winery sits near the ruins of Pompeii, and the tour starts the moment you arrive. The route takes you to a Necropoli from 79 AD, part of the Pompeii ruins themselves. You stand in front of the actual archaeological site, not a museum display or a photograph. After that stop, you head back to the wine cellar, where stainless silos, wooden barrels and terracotta amphorae line the space where fermentation and aging happen. This is where the tasting begins. Lunch arrives in the cellar and stays there.
