The experience
What does it take to make Modica's most famous pasta dishes? A Cesarina (that's what Le Cesarine calls their home cooks) will show you in her own kitchen. You'll learn two pasta recipes from scratch, rolling and shaping by hand, then move on to tiramisu. The whole class takes three hours. By the end, you've made real food, not a demonstration you watched.
After the cooking, you sit down and taste everything. Local wines come with the meal. You can book a tasting portion or move straight into a full dinner, depending on how hungry you are and what fits your day. Water and coffee are included. You get an official Le Cesarine apron to take home: a small thing, but it reminds you later that you actually did this.
The class happens in the Cesarina's home, not a cooking school. She's part of Italy's oldest network of home cooks, operating in over 120 cities. The setup is private, so it's just you and whoever you bring. The guide speaks English or Italian, whichever works for your group. Public transport runs nearby if you need it to get there.
