The experience

Three hours takes you through two of Florence's most concentrated collections of Michelangelo's work. The Accademia Gallery opens the tour with the original David (the seventeen-foot marble figure that defined Renaissance sculpture) along with the Palestrina Pietà, Saint Matthew, and the four Prisoners, left deliberately unfinished to show the artist's process. After the Accademia, a short walk brings you to the Medici Chapels.
