The experience
The day starts with a visit to the Enzo Ferrari Museum in Modena, where the house and garage Enzo used remain intact alongside a futuristic yellow-aluminum building that echoes a Ferrari hood. Inside are vintage Ferraris, documents, photographs and the art gallery that rotates exhibitions on the brand's racing history. From there, a luxury van takes you to Maranello and the Ferrari Museum, positioned 300 metres from the factory itself. The museum rotates roughly 40 prestigious models on display, and holds a dedicated Formula One hall with World Championship cars from 1999 to 2008, 110 trophies, and original helmets from nine World Champions including Villeneuve, Mansell and Prost.
You then drive. The track test drive puts you behind the wheel of a Ferrari 488 Challenge for 3 laps or a 458 Challenge for 4 laps on the 2.4-kilometre Modena circuit. A professional instructor rides with you for the entire drive. A welcome brunch, vehicle briefing and preparation come first, then the instructor takes the first lap to show you the line, and you drive the rest. The road test drive happens around Maranello in a 812 GTS Superfast, Purosangue, F8 Tributo Spider, 296 GTS, Portofino or GTC Lusso, your choice, with an instructor alongside and a recording saved to USB. If you pick the Portofino or GTC Lusso, you can bring a passenger. Between the drives, a bus tour takes you past the Fiorano track and along Viale Enzo Ferrari through the factory complex.
Lunch is at Cavallino Restaurant in Maranello, a 1 Michelin star restaurant by Chef Massimo Bottura. The space is lined with historical racing photographs, driver helmets and Ferrari engine parts. Enzo himself stopped here regularly. You'll taste Emilian cuisine in that setting. After lunch, you can also try the F1 simulator: 10 minutes in a professional rig where you drive a Formula 1 car on world-famous circuits. The tour leader speaks English throughout and travels with you in the van. Your recorded test drive footage and simulator experience are yours to take home.
