The experience
The tour starts with a vintage Jeep ride through the vineyard landscape to a serene lake tucked into the hills: a quiet spot to take photos before heading into the cellar. Once there, a wine expert explains the work behind each vintage, then guides you through a structured tasting: two Spumante varieties, two Chianti reds (a Classico and a Riserva), a Supertuscan, and a Toscana Rosso. Each wine pairs with a course of the lunch, and you also taste three extra virgin olive oils (one plain, one infused with white truffle, one with chili pepper) plus two balsamic vinegars, including a Tuscan purple onion variety.
The meal itself is substantial. You start with traditional Tuscan cold cuts: finocchiona, prosciutto, pecorino, bruschetta with fresh tomato, and toasted bread dressed in the estate's own oil. The first course is lasagna with Tuscan meat ragù. The second course is grilled beef tagliata with roasted potatoes. Dessert is cantuccini almond biscuits dunked in Vin Santo. The wine expert stays with the group throughout, connecting each wine to the food and the landscape outside.

Is this one for you?The two-hour format fits a free afternoon without eating into the rest of your day, and the Jeep ride plus cellar walk plus seated lunch means you're not standing around. You move through the estate and then settle in to eat and taste. Book this if you want to taste multiple wines with food rather than at a bar, and you're comfortable with an off-road vehicle.

Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Child (5 to 17 years); Infant (under 5): free.
What wines will I taste on the Chianti tour?
You taste six wines: Arella and Firmina Spumantes (both Extra Dry), Lucilla Chianti Classico, Oletta Chianti Riserva 2021, Aranda Supertuscan, and Donna Ava Toscana Rosso 2021. Each pairs with a course of the Tuscan lunch.
Is the Jeep ride rough, or is it a smooth drive through the vineyards?
The tour is off-road through vineyard landscapes, so expect a vintage Jeep experience rather than a paved route. The ride takes you to a serene lake on the estate before the cellar visit and lunch.
What's included in the Tuscan lunch?
Lunch includes a Tuscan appetizer platter with cold cuts, cheese, bruschetta and toasted bread; lasagna with meat ragù; grilled beef tagliata with roasted potatoes; and cantuccini biscuits with Vin Santo for dessert. All courses pair with the wine tasting.
Can I taste the olive oils and vinegars separately from the wines?
Yes. You taste three olive oils (extra virgin, white truffle-infused, and chili pepper-infused), and two balsamic vinegars, including a Tuscan purple onion variety. These are tasted alongside the wines and food as part of the experience.
