The tour runs 8 to 9 hours total, moving between the most famous stops on the coast: Positano itself, the smaller town of Praiano, the Furore Fjord (a natural inlet with a 25-meter beach carved into the rock), Conca dei Marini, and Amalfi, which was a powerful maritime republic between the ninth and eleventh centuries. You're seeing the coast from the water, which is the only way to understand how the landscape actually works here.

The boat carries water, soft drinks, beer and prosecco for an aperitif; snorkeling equipment; beach towels; and a shower on board. You can stop in Amalfi or Minori to taste local desserts, or ask the captain to take you to a restaurant that has no road access—only a boat can reach it. The Emerald Grotto, a sea cave in the cliffs near Conca dei Marini, is optional: the captain stops in front and you can walk to a small pier, take a rowboat into the cave, and return to the main boat. This stage takes 50 to 60 minutes and costs 8 euros per person, paid at the entrance; it only happens if water conditions allow it.
