A 2-day diving package in Tulamben for certified divers, with five fun dives across multiple sites including the USAT Liberty and Boga shipwrecks, Coral Garden and the Drop-off. Certified instructor, all equipment, wetsuit and pickup from Amed or Tulamben surroundings are included; you complete the five dives within a week. A refresher session is available if your last dive was more than a year ago.

The Experience

You need to be a certified diver to book this, though if your last dive was long ago, the dive center runs a refresher session before you get in the water. The five dives happen over two days, and you have up to a week to complete them all — so you can split them however works with your schedule. Pickup and drop-off are included if you're staying in Amed or the Tulamben area, and the dive center has a restaurant on-site if you want to eat between dives.

The sites themselves are what draw divers here: the USAT Liberty is a 120-meter cargo ship that sank in 1942 and now sits in shallow water, making it accessible for multiple dives at different depths. The Boga shipwrecks offer another wreck experience, while the Coral Garden is dense with soft corals and reef fish. The Drop-off, formed by ancient lava flows, creates a wall that drops into deeper water. Between these main stops, your instructor will take you to spots known for macro life — small creatures like nudibranchs and seahorses that need a closer eye. The instructor dives with you, shares knowledge of the area and helps you get the most from what's underwater.

All diving equipment is provided — mask, snorkel, fins, buoyancy control jacket, regulator and other instruments — along with a wetsuit and weight belt. The dive center has facilities on-site: WiFi, toilet, shower, locker and a change room. If you want digital photos or videos of your dives, those are available to purchase. Accommodation in dormitory or bungalow rooms at the dive center itself is also an option if you'd rather not commute.
