The experience
The ocean walker activity happens at Tanjung Benoa beach, where you'll walk along the seafloor in shallow water wearing a helmet with an air supply. All equipment is provided. The center there runs water sports, so the setup is established and the safety protocols are built in. After you finish, you shower and change, then eat a light lunch with a soft drink before moving on to the temples.
Pura Taman Ayun sits in Mengwi and dates to 1634, a royal family temple with multi-tiered shrines, lotus-dotted pools, and water features set into lush gardens. From there you continue to Alas Kedaton Monkey Forest, a 12-hectare sanctuary in Kutuh village where hundreds of grey long-tailed macaques live among the trees. The forest holds a temple too, Pura Dalem Kahyangan Kedaton, and the operator notes the atmosphere is calm and quiet.
The day ends at Tanah Lot Sea Temple, which stands on a rock outcropping in the sea and faces the Indian Ocean. The temple is dedicated to the God of the Sea and was founded in the 16th century. You'll be there for the sunset, then transfer back to your hotel by 7pm. A private air-conditioned car and an English-speaking driver are with you the whole time.
Is this one for you?Book this tour if you want a private car and driver for the full day. You won't share the vehicle or the guide with other travelers. The ocean walker activity is the main draw in the morning, so choose this if you want to do something in the water before visiting temples. If you prefer temples only, a different tour would suit you better.

Top questions

Can I do other water sports at Tanjung Benoa if I want to?
Yes. Jet ski, banana boat, parasailing and other water games are available at the beach, but they cost extra and are not part of the tour package.
What is Pura Taman Ayun and why is it significant?
Pura Taman Ayun is a royal family temple built in 1634 in Mengwi. The name means "beautiful garden" in Balinese. It is a compound with multi-tiered shrines, water features, lotus pools, and lush gardens, and it represents one of Bali's most important temple complexes.
How many monkeys are in Alas Kedaton Monkey Forest?
Hundreds of grey long-tailed macaques live in the 12-hectare forest sanctuary. The forest also contains a temple called Pura Dalem Kahyangan Kedaton.
