The experience

The tour starts from Surabaya or Malang and moves through three distinct landscapes. Day one takes you to Tumpak Sewu, where a 30-minute descent on a narrow path with a 30-degree slope leads to the waterfall's base: the village community manages parking, toilets and a food court at the top. You cross a bridge over the river to reach the photo spot directly under the cascade, then transfer to Cemoro Lawang village for the night.

Mount Bromo begins at 2:30 am on day two. You reach the observation deck for sunrise, then explore the sea of sand, hike to Bromo's summit and view the caldera before heading to Bondowoso city for your second overnight stay. The 4WD Jeep handles the volcanic terrain. The guide leads the hikes.

Day three is Mount Ijen: a trek to the crater rim where you'll see the blue fire at dawn, the sulfur lake and the best views of the surrounding landscape. The tour ends with a drop-off at Bali's Gilimanuk port or a return to Surabaya, depending on which option you choose at checkout. Breakfast, a gas mask for the sulfur, trekking poles and all entry fees are included.
