The experience
You're picked up from your hotel in south Denpasar and driven in a private air-conditioned minivan to Pandawa Beach, a 1.5-kilometer stretch of sand flanked by limestone cliffs that was once hidden and called Secret Beach. The road cuts through the hills of Kutuh Village, and the beach itself stays quieter than the crowded breaks on the peninsula. From there the guide takes you to Dreamland Beach and Padang Padang Beach, both known for consistent surf and clear water, then stops at a luwak coffee plantation where you can taste the civet coffee: the beans pass through the animal's digestive tract before roasting, a process that creates a smoother, less acidic brew.
The afternoon builds toward Uluwatu Temple, a sacred clifftop pagoda built around the 11th century that sits 230 feet above the ocean. The temple structures include stone arches and a pagoda right at the cliff edge, with walls to keep visitors safe from the view. You arrive in time to watch the sunset from the temple grounds and stay for the kecak dance performance, a rhythmic chanting and fire dance that happens nightly. The monkeys that live in the forest around the temple are known to be mischievous, so keep bags and loose items close.
The tour ends with dinner at Jimbaran Bay, where more than 30 seafood restaurants line the white sand beach. If you select the dinner option at checkout, you'll eat fresh fish and other catches right on the sand as the light fades. The guide brings you back to your hotel afterward, completing the full day.

Top questions
What's the luwak coffee experience like on this tour?
Luwak coffee is a tasting stop at a plantation where you try the beans that have been eaten and digested by the Asian palm civet, then roasted. The process makes the coffee smoother and less acidic than standard beans. You get a free sample as part of the tour.
Can I swim at the beaches we visit?
Pandawa Beach, Dreamland Beach and Padang Padang Beach all have swimmable water, though Dreamland and Padang Padang are known for strong shorebreak and consistent surf. Bring a swimsuit and towel if you want to go in. The tour includes entry to all three beaches.
What happens at Uluwatu Temple at sunset?
Uluwatu Temple sits on a cliff edge with views straight out to sea, and the kecak dance performance happens nightly as the sun sets. The kecak is a rhythmic chanting and fire dance performed by a group of men. You watch from the temple grounds after entry is included.
Is dinner at Jimbaran Bay included in the price?
Dinner at Jimbaran Bay is optional and you choose it at checkout. If you select it, the tour includes a seafood meal at one of the beachfront restaurants along the bay. If not, the tour ends after the temple and kecak dance.
How long is the full tour and when does it start?
The tour runs 8 to 10 hours total. Pickup happens from your hotel in south Denpasar in the morning, and the exact start time depends on your hotel location and the guide's pickup schedule.
