The experience
The tour picks you up at your Kuta hotel at 8am on day one and heads inland to Tohpati Village, where batik, a traditional fabric-painting technique, has been made for generations. From there you move to Celuk Village, known for its silver and gold handicrafts, then to Batuan Temple, one of Bali's three major village temples, where your guide explains its Balinese architecture and carved details. The afternoon takes you to Tegalalang Rice Terrace, where you swing out over the rice fields and river on a giant swing, with photo spots at a King Kong head sculpture and bird nest structures scattered across the terraces.
Day two focuses on the island's western temples and highlands. You'll view Tanah Lot Temple from several vantage points as it sits on a rocky outcrop surrounded by seawater at high tide, then move to the twin lakes of Buyan and Tamblingan in the uplands, where Ulun Danu Beratan Temple sits on the water's edge. The route also passes through Kintamani, where the volcanic caldera of Mount Batur and its crater lake dominate the landscape.
Day three is split between water and coast. You drive about an hour to Nusa Dua Beach for a 15-minute banana boat ride, then head to Pandawa Beach on the Bukit Peninsula. The day ends at Uluwatu Temple, perched on a cliff with ocean views, followed by a romantic seafood BBQ dinner at Jimbaran Bay. Private transportation in an air-conditioned vehicle, all entrance fees, a sarong for temple visits, watersport equipment, and hotel pickup and drop-off are included throughout.
Is this one for you?Choose the all-inclusive option if you want meals, entrance fees and watersports covered in one price. Pick the car, driver and petrol option if you prefer to arrange your own meals and skip some attractions. The fixed three-day route works best if you want a guide handling all the stops and timing rather than planning your own itinerary.
