The experience

Seven to eight hours means you can fit both Old and New Delhi into a single day without rushing between sites. The tour starts with hotel or airport pickup (you choose your departure time between 7am and 3pm), and ends with drop-off anywhere in Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad or Faridabad. A live guide in English or Spanish walks you through each stop, explaining what you're standing in front of: the Jama Masjid, India's largest mosque completed in 1656; the Red Fort, a UNESCO-listed Mughal fortress with massive red sandstone walls; Humayun's Tomb, India's first garden tomb; and the Lotus Temple, a Bahá'í House of Worship shaped like a lotus flower. Qutub Minar, a 73-meter tower built in 1193, closes out the architectural arc.

Old Delhi moves at a different rhythm. You'll ride through Chandni Chowk's bazaars in a tuk-tuk while your guide explains what the markets mean to the neighborhood, then stop at Khari Baoli, Asia's largest spice market, where everything sells at fixed prices and you can see the tea and spices that stock Indian kitchens. Agrasen Ki Baoli, a 103-step historic stepwell, offers a quieter moment for photographers and history buffs. The rickshaw ride through the old city streets is built into the tour, not a separate add-on.

The vehicle is private to your group: a four-seater sedan for one or two people, a six-seater wagon for three to five, a nine-seater van for six to nine, or a twelve-seater for ten to twelve. You get skip-the-line access to monuments, so you walk past queues at the door. Complimentary water and umbrellas travel with you. Lotus Temple closes on Mondays, so your guide will adjust the route if that's your day. You'll need a valid photo ID for monument entry.

Does the entrance fee option include all the monuments, or just some?

When you book the full-day tour with tickets, entrance fees to the monuments are included. The half-day tours and the full-day option without tickets do not include monument entry, so you pay at each site.

What happens if I'm picked up from the airport? Do I need to provide flight details?

Yes, if you're picked up from the airport, provide your flight details at booking so your guide can track your arrival and meet you at the right time. Hotel pickups don't require this step.

Is the rickshaw ride through Old Delhi included in all options?

The rickshaw ride through Old Delhi's bazaars is included in the full-day tour and the half-day Old Delhi tour. It's not part of the half-day New Delhi option.
