The experience
The day starts with pickup from your hotel or cruise port and transport to the buggy center. You and a partner share one two-seater 200cc buggy and take turns driving across Roatan's countryside roads, moving at your own pace through the island's rural landscape. The buggy itself is the point: you're steering through the interior rather than watching it pass, and the route takes you past villages and across terrain most cruise passengers never see.
After the ride, a local guide leads you through the sloth and monkey park for about thirty minutes, pointing out the wildlife species you'll encounter and the ecosystem around them. Then you head into the forest for the ziplining section, where you move through the canopy on your own. The day closes at Sol y Mar beach, where you have access to the facilities, restaurants and bars: time to cool off and grab food before heading back to your port or hotel.
The whole package (buggy, park entry, ziplining, beach pass, water, the guide, transport both ways, and a souvenir video) is priced as one. You're not arranging separate tickets or figuring out how to get between stops. The three-hour window is tight enough to fit a port day but long enough to move through each section without rushing.

Is this one for you?The guide speaks English or Spanish, so you'll follow the commentary comfortably in either language. The three-hour window fits a cruise port day or a free afternoon if you're staying on the island, and the buggy lets both of you take the wheel rather than watching from a passenger seat.
