The experience

The boat leaves the marina and immediately passes the pumice beach that sits right next to it, then moves along Red Beach, Santorini's most popular stretch. From there you sail to White Beach, a volcanic creation only reachable by water, before passing between the two volcanoes where the water turns warm from sulfuric activity below. The route is fixed, but because this is a private charter, you can request a different boarding location or adjust the timing when you book.

At Thirasia island the yacht anchors in calm, clear water and you swim while the crew prepares dinner on board. The meal is cooked fresh for your group (vegetarian options are available if you let them know when booking), and you eat on deck with the caldera view opening eastward. Unlimited beer, wine and soft drinks flow throughout the five hours, and the captain, a former merchant marine with 15 years at sea, shares stories about the island and the water around it.

Hotel pickup and drop-off are included, so the day starts and ends at your accommodation. The yacht carries up to ten passengers maximum, keeping the group small enough that everyone has room to move and the boat doesn't feel crowded. Infants sit on an adult's lap. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
