The experience
The cruise departs in the afternoon and sails along Milos's coastline, passing the traditional fishing villages of Skinopi, Klima and Areti, where the characteristic "Sirmata" (colorful stone houses built directly into the cliff) line the water. You'll see the Arkoudes lava rock formations and Cape Vani before the first swim stop at Kalogries, a natural bay where you can dive from the catamaran and eat fresh fruit salad on deck. The crew carries snorkeling equipment for both stops.
The route then reaches Sikia cave, where you can see the distinctive hole in its roof and the cave entrance from the water. Kleftiko, the old pirate bay, is the centerpiece: the crew guides you to explore it and swim, then serves a hearty lunch prepared on board. The program can shift to Plathiena instead if weather demands it, and the skipper has final say on all routing. The cruise ends by sailing back past the same fishing villages as the light changes, entering the bay at sunset.
Bring an identification document (passport, ID card or driver's license) as port authorities may inspect. Towels, sunscreen, sunglasses and hats are essential. The boat is air-conditioned. Tell the crew about allergies or dietary needs (vegetarian, gluten-free, vegan, lactose-free) when you book and they'll prepare accordingly. Alcoholic drinks are available for adults. Soda and bottled water are included.
